Welcome to the Help A Mom Out website.

The reason for this site is to help me pay for my expenses through out the year of 2007 so  I can stay home and raise my new son that was born in October of 2006. All the research that I have read shows that a child cared for by their parents in a positive home environment during the first year of life greatly increases their success rate in school and life. Besides the baby I am also raising 2 wonderful adopted (previously stray) dogs and 5 adopted (previously stray) senior cats.

Before I got pregnant, which by the way was a blessing in itself (about 8 years ago after trying for 2 years I was told that I would never get pregnant) I went back to school and got a degree in floral design and then began an apprenticeship at a local flower shop. However that job ended with the onset of Hurricane Katrina, yes I live in south Louisiana. Our home and family survived without loss except for job losses, however we had many friends in the neighboring New Orleans area that were affected by many losses.

Having a new baby has also caused me to take some time off from my volunteer work, Myself and my husband alike have worked endlessly in animal rescue. We have worked with local organizations for many years now saving animals from abandonment and cruelty, rescued and re-homed strays, and joined forces with the many of workers that blessed our Louisiana coast after Katrina.     

As I figure it,

If I get just $1.00 from 30,000 people that = 1 annual yearly income.

Then any surplus will defiantly go to Animal Rescue Charities.
